Ermanaric
King of the Greuthungian Goths north of the Black Sea, whom Ammianus Marcellinus calls a most warlike king feared by his neighbours and Jordanes a conqueror of many peoples. When the Huns attacked his realm in the early 370s, he took his own life, according to Ammianus.
