Frumentius
Christian from Tyre who as a boy was brought as a captive to the Aksumite court, became the king’s secretary and helped to govern for the young Ezana, and was consecrated by Athanasius as the first bishop of Aksum; Ethiopian tradition calls him Abba Salama, “father of peace”.
