Ge Hong
Scholar, alchemist and physician from Jurong south of the Yangtze, author of the Baopuzi, of handbooks of medical prescriptions and of biographies of Taoist immortals, himself revered in the Taoist tradition as an immortal. He spent his last years making elixirs on Mount Luofu near Guangzhou.
