Jeong Jung-bu (Chŏng Chungbu)
Korean general of the Goryeo dynasty from Haeju, a supreme general (sangjanggun) of the guards, who in 1170 joined the junior officers Yi Ui-bang and Yi Go in the coup that massacred the civil officials, deposed King Uijong and began a century of military rule. He later became the dominant figure himself until he was killed by the young general Gyeong Dae-seung in 1179.
