Jogaila (Władysław II Jagiełło)
A son of Algirdas, Grand Duke of Lithuania in 1377–1381 and 1382–1392 and afterwards its supreme duke, with his cousin Vytautas as grand duke, and King of Poland from 1386 until his death in 1434. Raised a pagan, he was baptized Władysław in 1386 under the Union of Krewo, married Queen Jadwiga and in 1387 converted Lithuania to Catholicism; his dynasty, the Jagiellonians, ruled Poland and Lithuania until 1572.
