Judah ha-Nasi
Nasi (patriarch) of the Jews of Roman Palestine and head of the Sanhedrin at Beit She'arim and later at Sepphoris, known simply as Rabbi or as Rabbenu ha-Kadosh, “our holy teacher”; he compiled the Mishnah.
