Kim Busik (Kim Pusik)
Korean scholar-official, general and historian of the Goryeo dynasty, of the Gyeongju Kim clan descended from the Silla royal house. He passed the state examination in 1096, suppressed the rebellion of the monk Myocheong at Pyongyang in 1135–1136 and led the government until his retirement in 1142; he headed the compilation of the Samguk sagi, the oldest surviving history of Korea.
