Chimor (Chimú kingdom)
Kingdom of the Chimú culture on the north coast of Peru, with its capital at Chan Chan in the Moche Valley (about 900–1470). Growing from a valley polity, especially in the 14th and 15th centuries, into the largest state of the Andean coast, stretching some 1,000 km along the Pacific, it was conquered by the Inca Topa Inca Yupanqui around 1470.
