Mahasena of Anuradhapura
King of Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka (reigned 273–301 or 277–304 by different chronologies) who favoured the Abhayagiri monks against the orthodox Mahavihara, founded the Jetavanaramaya and built sixteen reservoirs; he was later worshipped as Minneri Deviyo, the god of Minneriya.
