Saint Dominic
Castilian priest and canon of Osma who from 1206 preached to the Cathars of Languedoc and founded the Order of Preachers (Dominicans), confirmed by Pope Honorius III in 1216; he died at Bologna in 1221 and was canonized in 1234.
