Scythians
Iranian-speaking nomads who dominated the Pontic steppe from the 7th–6th to the 3rd century BC; pushed back by the Sarmatians, they kept a kingdom in Crimea, with its capital at Scythian Neapolis, until the Gothic invasions of the 3rd century AD.
