Vakataka dynasty
Dynasty of the Deccan (c. 250 – c. 510) founded by Vindhyashakti: the most important successors of the Satavahanas, later allied by marriage with the Guptas. The later caves of Ajanta were carved under the Vakataka king Harishena.
