Vikings
Scandinavian seafarers — raiders, traders and settlers — of the Viking Age (conventionally 793–1066). They raided and settled in the British Isles and Francia, founded Normandy, reached Iceland, Greenland and North America and, as the Varangians, travelled the river routes of Eastern Europe.
