Ulfilas (Wulfila)

Bishop and missionary of the Goths, of Cappadocian Greek descent. He devised the Gothic alphabet and is credited with the Gothic translation of the Bible; in 348, fleeing persecution, he led his converts across the Danube into Roman Moesia.
