Zong Que
Liu Song general from Nanyang, remembered for the youthful wish ‘to ride the long wind and break the waves for ten thousand li’. In the Linyi campaign of 446 he defeated the army sent to relieve Qusu and, according to the Book of Song, put King Fan Yangmai’s armoured war elephants to flight with figures of lions.
