Akatziri
People of the steppe north of the Black Sea, called both Scythians and Huns by Priscus and described by Jordanes as herdsmen and hunters rather than farmers. Theodosius II tried to win their chiefs away from Attila, who subdued them in 447 or 448 and made his eldest son their king; around 463 they were defeated by the Saragurs.
