Anthemius (praetorian prefect)
Praetorian prefect of the East from 405 to 414, who led the government of the Eastern Empire for the child emperor Theodosius II and built the first line of the Theodosian Walls; J. B. Bury called him “in a sense, the second founder of Constantinople”. He was the grandfather of the western emperor Anthemius.
