Emperor Qinzong of Song
Ninth emperor of the Song dynasty (r. 1126–1127), eldest son of Emperor Huizong. Put on the throne when his father abdicated during the first Jurchen invasion, he was in Kaifeng when the Jin took the city in January 1127; deposed and taken north with his father, he spent the rest of his life in captivity and died there in 1156 — the news of his death reached the Southern Song court only in 1161.
