Emperor Wencheng of Northern Wei
Tuoba Jun, grandson of Emperor Taiwu and emperor of the Northern Wei from 452 to 465. He lifted his grandfather’s ban on Buddhism and supported the monk Tanyao, who began the Yungang cave temples near Pingcheng in 460.
