Hephthalites
People of Central Asia, the “White Huns”. In the mid-5th century they rose to power in Bactria in place of the Kidarites (the change is dated to about 450 or to 466–467); in 484 they defeated and killed the Sasanian king Peroz I, and around 560 the Turks and the Sasanians destroyed their empire.
