Sultanate of Ifat
Muslim sultanate of the Walashma dynasty in eastern Shewa, which at its height stretched from the edge of the Ethiopian highlands to the port of Zeila. In the 14th century it fought the Solomonic emperors and after 1332 was held as a tributary by Amda Seyon I and his successors; its heir in the 15th century was the Adal Sultanate.
