Krishna I

Rashtrakuta king (c. 756 – 772/774), the uncle and successor of Dantidurga. He completed the overthrow of the Chalukyas of Badami, campaigned against the Gangas and the Eastern Chalukyas of Vengi and greatly enlarged his kingdom; inscriptions credit him with the rock-cut Kailasa temple at Ellora.
