Kumaragupta I
Gupta emperor from c. 415 to c. 455, son of Chandragupta II and Queen Dhruvadevi, known by the title Mahendraditya. He held together the empire he had inherited, performed the horse sacrifice and issued more types of coins than any other Gupta king. He is usually identified with King Shakraditya, whom Xuanzang names as the founder of the Nalanda monastery.
