Lalitaditya Muktapida
King of Kashmir of the Karkota dynasty (c. 724/725 – 760/761), known to the Tang court as Muduobi. The 12th-century chronicler Kalhana makes him a world conqueror; many historians accept his victory over Yashovarman of Kannauj and see him as an ally of the Tang against Tibet, but doubt most of his other conquests. Kalhana credits him with the Sun temple at Martand and the new capital of Parihasapura.
