Olga of Kiev
Igor’s widow who ruled Kyiv for her young son Sviatoslav after 945, avenged her husband on the Drevlians, reorganised the collection of tribute and was the first ruler of Rus’ to be baptised (as Helena), probably in Constantinople in 957. Venerated as a saint.
