Sviatoslav I
Son of Igor and Olga, prince of Kyiv, a pagan warrior-prince who crushed the Khazar Khaganate, conquered northeastern Bulgaria in the late 960s, was defeated by John I Tzimiskes at Dorostolon in 971 and was killed by the Pechenegs at the Dnieper rapids in 972.
