Qin Hui
Chinese statesman of the Southern Song, chief councillor of Emperor Gaozong in 1131–1132 and again from 1138 until his death in 1155. Captured by the Jurchens at the fall of Kaifeng, he later returned to the Song court, claiming to have escaped, and led the party of peace that concluded the Treaty of Shaoxing with the Jin; traditional historiography holds him responsible for the death of Yue Fei and makes him a byword for a treacherous minister.
