Ram Khamhaeng
King of Sukhothai (c. 1279–1298), son of its founder Si Inthrathit and successor of his elder brother Ban Mueang. Under him Sukhothai’s power and influence grew and relations with Yuan China began; the inscription bearing his name credits him with devising the Thai script.
