Taifa of Toledo
Muslim kingdom in central Iberia ruled by the Dhunnunids (Banu Dhi'l-Nun), one of the taifas that emerged from the break-up of the caliphate of Córdoba. By 1075 its king al-Ma'mun was the strongest ruler of al-Andalus, holding Valencia and Córdoba; his grandson al-Qadir surrendered Toledo to Alfonso VI in 1085.
