Gwanggaeto the Great
Nineteenth king of Goguryeo (reigned 391 – 412 or 413), whose posthumous name means ‘broadener of the realm’. He forced Baekje to submit, drove the Wa out of Silla, subdued Eastern Buyeo and extended Goguryeo into Manchuria; his reign title Yeongnak and his campaigns are known from the stele raised by his son Jangsu in 414.
