Person
Konchak
Cuman khan, son of Atrak and grandson of Sharukan, known from the Rus’ chronicles from the 1170s. In 1185 (in 1184 by N. G. Berezhkov’s chronology) he was beaten on the Khorol by the princes of Kyiv, but then, with other khans, routed Igor Sviatoslavich near the Kayala and raided the Pereiaslav land. His daughter married Igor’s son Vladimir, who came back from captivity with her in 1187 or 1188. He is last mentioned in January 1203, among those who sacked Kyiv.
