Northern Liang

One of the Sixteen Kingdoms, in the Hexi Corridor, ruled from 401 by the Juqu clan and from 412 from Guzang; a centre of Buddhist learning and translation. The Northern Wei conquered it in 439, and members of the dynasty ruled Gaochang in the Turfan oasis until 460.
