Soga no Iname
Head of the Soga clan and chief minister (ōomi) under Emperors Senka and Kinmei. According to the Nihon shoki he urged the worship of the Buddha image sent from Baekje and received it into his house. Two of his daughters married Kinmei; Empress Suiko was his granddaughter.
