Tribhuwana Wijayatunggadewi
Queen of Majapahit (1328–1350), a daughter of the founder Raden Wijaya and of Gayatri, in whose name she ruled after the murder of her half-brother Jayanagara. In her reign the revolts of Sadeng and Keta were put down, Gajah Mada became chief minister and Bali was conquered (1343); on Gayatri's death in 1350 she gave up the throne to her son Hayam Wuruk but remained a member of the council of royal elders.
