Al-Jarrah ibn Abdallah al-Hakami
Umayyad general of the Hakami tribe, at various times governor of Basra, of Sistan and Khorasan, and of Armenia and Adharbayjan. Sent against the Khazars in 722, he took their town of Balanjar; he was killed when the Khazars destroyed his army at Ardabil in December 730.
