Bhavavarman I
King of Chenla in the second half of the 6th century, son of Viravarman and elder brother of Citrasena (Mahendravarman). He extended Khmer power in the Mekong valley and, with his brother, attacked Funan. George Coedès dated his reign to about 550; a later epigraphic study by M. K. Sharan places it in 580–598.
