Bögü Qaghan
Third khagan of the Uyghurs (759–779/780), son of Bayanchur, called Mouyu or Tengri Qaghan in the Chinese histories. In 762, after first weighing an attack on the weakened Tang, he joined them against the last rebels of the An Lushan rebellion and brought Manichaean priests home from Luoyang, making Manichaeism the religion of his realm in 763. When he planned to invade China after Emperor Daizong’s death, his minister and cousin Tun Baga Tarkhan killed him.
