Gao Huan
Northern Wei general from the northern frontier, once a lieutenant of the Erzhu clan, who dominated the court from 532. When Emperor Xiaowu fled west in 534, he enthroned another prince and founded the Eastern Wei, remaining its real ruler; his son Gao Yang founded the Northern Qi.
