Yuwen Tai
Xianbei general who commanded the Northern Wei armies in the west, received the fugitive Emperor Xiaowu at Chang’an in 534, had him poisoned and in 535 enthroned Emperor Wen of the Western Wei, remaining the real ruler of the state. In 557 his son became the first emperor of the Northern Zhou.
