Khosrow II Parviz
Sasanian king of kings (590–628, with an interruption in 590–591), grandson of Khosrow I. Driven out by Bahram Chobin, he regained the throne with the help of the emperor Maurice; after Maurice’s murder he waged the great war of 602–628 against Byzantium and was overthrown and killed in 628.
