Nasr ibn Ali

Karakhanid prince, known by the title Arslan Ilig (Ilek), who held Fergana with his seat at Uzgen and conquered Transoxiana from the Samanids: in October 999 he took Bukhara without a fight and sent the last Samanid amir into captivity. He then fought the Samanid pretender Isma'il al-Muntasir; in 1006 and again in 1007 his armies invaded Ghaznavid Khurasan, and on 4 January 1008 he was defeated near Balkh. He died in 1012 or 1013.
