Sigismund of Luxembourg

Son of Emperor Charles IV, King of Hungary and Croatia from 1387 as the husband of Queen Mary, King of the Romans from 1410, King of Bohemia from 1419 and Holy Roman Emperor from 1433 until his death in 1437, the last male of the House of Luxembourg. In 1396 he led the crusade that ended in disaster at Nicopolis; later he was one of the driving forces behind the Council of Constance, which ended the Western Schism.
