Western Satraps
Saka (Indo-Scythian) rulers of western and central India from the 1st century to the turn of the 4th and 5th centuries, bearing the titles kshatrapa and mahakshatrapa: first the Kshaharata house of Nahapana, then the Kardamaka house of Chastana and Rudradaman I. Long rivals of the Satavahanas, they were conquered by the Gupta emperor Chandragupta II.
