Abd Allah ibn Sa'd ibn Abi Sarh
Qurayshite companion of Muhammad and foster brother of Uthman, who as governor of Egypt under Uthman led the invasion of Ifriqiya in 647, in which the exarch Gregory fell at Sufetula, besieged Dongola in 651/652 and concluded the Baqt with Makuria. With Mu'awiya he built the first Muslim fleet, which he commanded in the victory over the Byzantines at the Battle of the Masts in 655.
