al-Qa'im

Abu Ja'far Abdallah al-Qa'im bi-amr Allah, Abbasid caliph in Baghdad (1031–1075), son of al-Qadir. In his reign power over the caliphate passed from the Buyid emirs to the Seljuk sultans: he invited Tughril Beg to Baghdad in 1055, was carried off from the city when al-Basasiri proclaimed the Fatimid caliph there in 1058–1059, and was restored by Tughril.
