Eastern Turkic Khaganate
The eastern part of the Turkic Khaganate after its split, where khagans of the Ashina house ruled the Mongolian steppe and the lands north of China. In 630 it was destroyed by the Tang, who captured its last khagan, Illig; it was revived in 682 as the Second Turkic Khaganate.
