Emperor Taizong of Tang
Li Shimin, second emperor of the Tang (626–649), who took power in the Xuanwu Gate incident. He defeated the Eastern Turks (630), after which the chieftains of the steppe peoples hailed him as Heavenly Khagan, and his Zhenguan era was remembered as a model of good government.
