Illig Qaghan
Ashina Duobi, last khagan of the Eastern Turks (620–630), Jieli in the Chinese histories. He raided Tang China repeatedly and in 626 reached the Wei River outside Chang’an, but famine and revolts of the Tiele tribes weakened him; in 630 the Tang general Li Jing routed him in the Yin Mountains, and he was captured. He died in Chang’an in 634.
