Geluofeng
King of Nanzhao from 748 to 779, son of Piluoge. In 750 he rose against the Tang, whose governor of Yunnan had humiliated him; his armies destroyed the Tang expeditions of 751 and 754, and he submitted to Tibet, which gave him the title ‘younger brother of the btsanpo’. The stele he erected in 766 at his capital, Taihe, explains the break with the Tang.
