Ilghazi

Najm al-Din Ilghazi ibn Artuq, Turkoman emir of the Artuqid house, who held Jerusalem with his brother Sökmen until the Fatimids took it in 1098, later served the Seljuk sultans and from 1107 ruled Mardin. Master of Aleppo from 1117, he destroyed the army of Antioch at the Field of Blood in 1119, but the coalition he led against Georgia was routed at Didgori in 1121; he died the following year.
